Birchington Community Engagement- Scripture Union

Dear residents of Birchington,

  Kent Police were honoured to once again attend the Scripture Union Big Splash Event at Minnis Bay today. It was wonderful to see so many people in attendance, enjoying the warm weather, cooling off with lots of water fun, and showing us the community spirit that makes Birchington such a wonderful village. 

   This year we were joined by special guest, PD Barker (see image below), who received lots of attention. Please rest assured Kent Police always ensures the welfare of our working dogs, so he had access to an air conditioned vehicle, plenty of water, and was only on foot for a short period in the heat.

   There are a range of events scheduled throughout the week for all ages, so please feel free to get involved in future activities. Kent Police will hopefully be in attendance at more of the events and it will be an opportunity to engage with me as your Beat Officer for anything you wish to discuss.
